Double-click: select hyphenated and symbol-separated text in a single double-click.
Copy button: copy selected text in one click.
Link targeting: hover over a link for 3 seconds to select the word(s). Useful when the word you need is in the middle of a link.
Message: a small space for updates, news, and announcements.
Exclude sites: Add sites where the extension should not run.

Text Select .click is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox that improves double-click text selection for hyphenated and symbol-separated text. Additional features include a one-click Copy button for quick copying, and Link targeting, which lets you select words inside links by hovering over them.

Why I built Text Select .click

I built Text Select .click to solve a frustrating part of my daily work: selecting hyphenated and symbol-separated text quickly and accurately in the browser. I looked for a simple setting in macOS, Windows, and browsers, but could not find one — so I built a browser extension instead.

Over time, I added more features to make the extension even more useful: custom symbols, a quick Copy button, and Link targeting for selecting words inside links.
